Individual Sex Therapy
It is a common assumption that our sexuality involves someone else. Sexual health and empowerment starts with our self-awareness, responsibility, and individual effort. Individual sex therapy focused on our sexuality can assist in addressing our history including strengths and vulnerabilities. We look towards our goals and future desired state. The real work happens in the present tapping into who we are and the strengths, gifts, and opportunities to develop and expand. Overall, individual sex therapy is about personal growth and empowerment, allowing individuals to embrace their sexuality in a positive and fulfilling way.
Couple’ Sex Therapy
This is where the magic of relationship change really happens. Couples sex therapy is a specialized form of therapy aimed at addressing sexual issues within a romantic relationship. It provides a safe, non-judgmental space for couples to explore their sexual concerns, enhance intimacy, and improve communication about sexual needs and desires. Like a dance, relationship work invites the couple to sense each other and allow movements to flow together in a united way. The goal is to foster a healthier sexual relationship, improve overall intimacy, and encourage partners to work collaboratively on their sexual issues, leading to a more fulfilling and satisfying connection.
AASECT Supervision
AASECT Supervision refers to professional guidance and mentoring as individuals work towards sex therapy certification with the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). The supervision process typically involves regular meetings where supervisees discuss their clinical work, receive feedback, and explore challenges they might face with clients. During the year 2025 I am starting the process of training as an AASECT Supervisor. Please reach out if you have questions and are interested in working with me as a supervisor.
